How to Summon & Defeat Spider Crab
Bosses in How to Fish cannot be caught using basic breadcrumbs or garden worms. You must trigger a tailored summoning sequence to lure the beast:
- 1Head to the Island Merchant shack and purchase a cold Can of Beer for $12.
- 2Bring the beer to The Lighthouse Keeper; he drinks it and gives you the Empty Beer Can bait.
- 3Equip the Empty Beer Can on your rod and cast into the churning waters near the lighthouse jetty.
- 4Hook and summon the territorial Spider Crab boss onto the beach.
- 5Dodge the crab's forward charge into beach boulders to trigger its 4-second dizzy stun.
- 6Loot the Crab Shell trophy and return it to the Lighthouse Keeper to claim the Boat Keys and unlock Forest Island on radar.
Charges straight ahead. If it hits an obstacle, it becomes dizzy for 4s. A white stamina bar indicates its escape timer; down it before it retreats into the tide.
