Rock Crab lure and rod
Buy a Hot Dog ($1, sold on every main island) and fit it on the Crab-Fishing Rod; Rock Crab is 76.9% of that pool and Lobster the other 23.1%.
Each bite uses up the Hot Dog 40% of the time, so buy a few.
Drip Rock Crab
Drip Rock Crab exists with the usual 10% chance per hooked crab, 25% at the Wishbone maximum.
Because it dominates the Hot Dog pool, a drip arrives after roughly 13 bites (5 with the Wishbone), about 5 Hot Dogs at the 40% loss rate.
Rock Crab sell price
Rock Crab sells for $7, more than double a Brown Crab, so one $1 Hot Dog pays for itself on the first bite.
