How to change the boat skin

Boat skins come from the Reel of Fortune on Islands 2 to 5. Once you have one:

1. Get into the boat.
2. Press Z or C to cycle through the boat skins you own.
3. Stop on the one you want; it stays on the boat.

How to equip skins on weapons and tools

1. Hold the weapon or tool the skin belongs to.
2. Press Z or C until the skin you want shows on it.

A skin only goes to the player who threw the item into the machine; in co-op, friends need their own spins.

How to change the skin of the rod

Rod skins work the same way: hold the Fishing Rod and cycle with Z or C. Fishing Rod skins roll on Islands 2 to 5; the Gold fishing rod no longer drops since patch 1.1.3.

How to restore a weapon skin after cooking

Cooking on the grill dirties the weapon or tool you are holding. Since patch 1.0.10 you can clean it:

1. Walk into the water with the dirty weapon or tool in your hands.
2. Dip it; the original skin comes back.
