What Dynamite is good for

Thrown into water, one lit stick kills a group of fish you can pick up and sell or eat, the fastest way to get the five creatures the Volcano scientist wants.

Creatures killed by an explosion never come out as drips, so do not use it while filling the Fishipedia.

It also powers two achievements: shoot a pile under your parked boat for I'm the bird now, and blast a seagull for Everyone's dream.

Where to buy Dynamite

Each stick costs $25 at the Forest gift shop and later shops (Desert, Rocks, Volcano).

How to build a "nuke": Dynamite piles

A "nuke" is a pile of Dynamite set off with one gunshot. Players stack the sticks where a boss will land, lure it on top and shoot the pile from a safe distance.

Reported amounts: about half the Giant Piranha's health from one pile, roughly 16 to 18 sticks for the Bowhead Whale and 21 to 25, split into two piles, for the Mutated Bowhead Whale. Buy a spare or two, and step well back: since patch 1.0.11 your own blast can kill you even with friendly fire off.

Dynamite damage compared

One blast deals 200 damage over an area, the same as a base Sniper Rifle bullet but against everything in range. Game8 rates it B for its use against the Giant Piranha swarm.
