What the Extended Mag does

It increases magazine size, which is the best attachment for the SMG and Assault Rifle in long boss fights.

Sold from the Desert kiosk onward. Price by gun: Pistol $90, SMG $320, Sniper Rifle $1,200, Assault Rifle $5,400. The Shotgun has no Extended Mag slot.

Extended Mag and the other attachments

Because the Shotgun cannot take it, the Shotgun can never be the gun for Fully equipped, which needs the Extended Mag among its attachments.
