How to start the grill
The Grillmaster in the orange apron stands by the red grill on the Island 3 beach.
- Buy the Standard Boss Lure ($280) at the Desert kiosk.
- Kill the Blue Shark it summons.
- Bring him the shark in one piece and give it to him with Q.
- He gives you the lighter, the grill lights up and Grillmaster unlocks.
What the Grillmaster accepts
A whole Blue Shark, or a Goblin Shark from Island 5 if you skipped it. Selling the shark first loses the hand-in.
Grillmaster not giving the lighter?
If he does nothing, it is not a whole shark, or you bought the pink Standard Lure, which only rarely brings a shark. Use the boss lure.
Why to do it early
Do it before the Pufferfish: cooking raises prices up to 1.5x, and burning a catch on the same grill gives Yummy in my tummy.
