What the Sniper Rifle is for
The Sniper Rifle is the long-range gun for the Albatross and for headshot kill-score bonuses on regular catches.
It is slow, one shot per second, so it rewards aim rather than spray.
How much the Sniper Rifle kit costs
Buy it for $3,800 at the Rocks gun store (also on the Volcano island).
The kit costs far more than the rifle: the Suppressor ($2,500), the Laser Sight ($1,600) and the Extended Mag ($1,200) plus the bullet tiers. Most players fund it with Professional Lure catches on the same island.
Sniper Rifle damage and max damage
At base it deals about 200 damage per second, far below the SMG, but every shot is 200 and headshot bonuses stack on top.
At bullet tier 12 each shot reaches 500, the highest per-bullet damage of any gun. Game8 ranks it A.
