Carp lure and rod
Fish the Beginner Lure ($3) on the long Fishing Rod; Carp is the fourth most common catch in that ten-creature pool at 12.3%.
The lure breaks on 35% of bites, so buy a stack before a long session.

Drip Carp exists with the base 10% drip roll, 25% at the Wishbone maximum.
Expect about 81 bites per drip Carp, or 33 with the full Wishbone, roughly 28 or 12 Beginner Lures.
Carp sell price
Carp sells for $12, the same as Goby and Pike from the same lure.
