Island 2 quest: three leeches for the Leech Bait
The woman in the straw hat by the lake, the Swamp Daughter, wants three leeches.
- Talk to her near the shop; her counter starts at 0/3.
- Find three leeches on the grass in the middle of the island and throw each one to her with Q.
- Take the Leech Bait she gives you after the third leech.
- Buy the long Fishing Rod and a Shotgun, and earn the money with Beginner Lure catches.
- Fit the Leech Bait, hook the Giant Piranha and kill it, clearing the small piranhas it summons.
- Hand her the Giant Piranha Skeleton and take the flash drive with the coordinates of Island 3.
What to buy on the second island
The gift shop adds the first real guns: Pistol ($50), Shotgun ($150) and Dynamite ($25). It also sells the Fishing Rod ($3), the Beginner Lure ($3) and the Beginner Boss Lure ($40), plus sharpening to level 6, bullet upgrades to 3, an extra inventory slot, the Laser Sight and the first boat motor ($230).
Buy the Fishing Rod, then the Shotgun for the boss; a Pistol or a few Dynamite sticks for the small piranhas; the motor and the extra slot pay off on later islands.
Second island boss: the Giant Piranha
The Giant Piranha is fought from dry ground among the trees; the hard part is the swarm of small piranhas after half health. The Old Pike and the Sunfish, both on the $40 Beginner Boss Lure, are optional practice fights here.
Second island: no leeches?
Look on dry land: the leeches sit in the grass at the island's centre, away from both the lake and the swamp. They are small and pale, so walk slowly and watch for the "Leech" label with its E prompt.
You need three, not five; her counter shows the number.
How to use the bait on island two
The Leech Bait only goes on the long Fishing Rod ($3), not the Crab-Fishing Rod. Buy that rod, then press B with the bait in your inventory to switch the bait slot, cast from the shore and keep reeling.
Creatures on the Forest island
Beginner Lure catches (Piranha, Cod, Carp, Goby, Pike, Perch, Triggerfish, Goldfish) and French Fry catches (Gar, Mackerel, Pike) fill the Fishipedia here, alongside the Sunfish, The Old Pike and the Giant Piranha.

What to do after the second island
After the skeleton hand-in, hold the Radar on the boat: the new dot to the north is the Desert island, Island 3.
If you are short on money, a stack of Beginner Lures and the Goldfish ($24) are the best Forest income before you leave.
